Reggae Sunday at The Conch House has become “the thing to do” for adults seeking a Sunday afternoon adventure. Perfectly positioned on the intercoastal waterway in St. Augustine, the floating docks at the Conch House become a party destination every Sunday afternoon. Hundreds of locals and tourists alike make an appearance to party at the closest place to paradise that St. Augustine has to offer. Every Sunday features a different live reggae band, and a different alcohol distributor sponsoring the event. Freebies are given away by the sponsors and drink specials are available all afternoon.
Cap's is widely recognized for its incredible location and views. In fact, Cap's has been voted "Best Outdoor Dining" on numerous occasions.
Continuing over 100 years of serving the finest in local seafood, Aunt Kate’s pleasures both the eye and the palate. Situated in a grove of live oaks on the bank of the Tolomoto River, you can dine on the outside decks under the trees or inside in either the main dining room or the Victory bar. The trees, scarred by fire, still lean over the water, framing the ever-changing sunset. Wading birds feed along the shoreline while pelicans beg from fishermen on the docks. Occasionally, a manatee or dolphin will swim along the shoreline while passing boats cruise the channel. We offer outstanding family dining, whether you’re looking for steamed oysters, peel ‘n eat shrimp, fresh salad, great soups, a terrific steak or blackened chicken, we have something for everyone and every appetite.
The word is getting out on the best kept secret in St. Augustine. Tucked away on the waters edge, away from the main stream, Beaches is truly a little vacation spot right in our hometown where you can relax and enjoy a ‘no worries’ Caribbean island atmosphere. Beaches is known for having great food, signature drinks, the friendliest staff and the best sunsets in St. Augustine and the only place where you can dine with your toes in the sand and listen to live music every weekend.
Vilano Beach is located just north of downtown St. Augustine's historic district, on the north side of the Matanzas Inlet. The town of Vilano Beach is a charming surprise, with its tiled fountains and retro Art Deco look, and this local beach is also a wonderful surprise, and one of St. Augustine's best-kept secrets. The beach has a steep drop-off, heavier surf, and a strong current due to its location near the inlet, which makes it ideal for surfing (when the tide is coming in) and skimboarding.
